Like most of the time management games out there, Jane’s Hotel is no different. But then again it is. Help Jane turn her mediocre two-star hotel into a five star Hilton luxury hotel. Buy new add ons to your hotel such as a television so that your guests can sit and watch tv. Or a newspaper station in case your guest feel like a bit of a read. It is a challenging game, and there’s a few things you need to watch, like how quickly you serve your guests and how they rate your hotel. Now don’t get me wrong, I enjoyed Jane’s hotel, as much as I enjoyed Cake Mania, Sally’s Salon, and even Big Island Blends (I actually loved big island blends!), but that damn chamber maid is slower than a dying snail! Seriously! Give this woman a pay rise, or stronger coffee or a can of red bull or something! That chamber maid will be the only reason you won’t get a perfect score when a guests requests a room clean-up. Putting that slow woman aside though. Jane’s hotel has it’s moments of coffee serving, newspaper carrying, tv turning on madness, and watch the lovely animations of your appreciating guests when you do something for them in double time. The game stays true to the time-management franchise with the add-ons, and the progression, and a lovely story line of wanting to be the best there is. But it is lacking, I don’t really want to change my decor, thank you. I don’t really want to buy some lovely looking plants that start dying when Jane and your lovely chamber-maid are in dire need of a pick-me-up. Challenging? Yes. Entertaining? For a short while, yes. Worth buying/downloading. Yes. I did enjoy Jane’s Hotel, apart from the chamber-maid moments. And trust me on this one, DO NOT invest in the houseplants. You will need to water them and guess who gets that lovely time-consuming job? Yup, you guessed it, your lovely, slow chamber-maid and guess what else. While she takes her sweet time watering your precious plants you’ll suddenly have three guests who all want their rooms cleaned. You have been warned.
