I saw this game yesterday and said to myself: “What a crap? Who wants to play another badly done word puzzle today?” And I downloaded it for one reason – to write a very negative review.

But then I start it and I was thrilled. Because the Scrapbook Paige is one of the most beautiful, addictive and unusual hidden objects game I’ve ever played!

You have to browse Paige’s drawers and shelves for clippings and various small items to decorate a scrapbook page. There are thousands of chaotically scattered items in every place. Buttons, small toys, labels, pictures… – Paige, you really need to clean your room sometime!

Fortunately, there is always more than one required item on the level. That is to say if you need to find a cat, there can be 5 or 10 different cats and you can pick any of them. That’s a great innovation, because finally you don’t have to spend hours desperadly looking for a small needle in huge haystack.

You also can use a zoom tool, which helps you to take a closer look on the stuff and to concentrate on specific region. Very helpful, I used it in almost every level.

You always have one riddle object in the list. And you must solve a riddle to find out what should it be. Fortunately, the riddles are not very hard. But if you will not be able to find a solution, don’t count on hints – they don’t point on specific object, just on the region where you can find it. The game also has a bonus level, where your task is to decorate a scrapbook page by dragging the objects on the right to their places. You can put additional objects to get a higher decoration score. Well, its not as fun as searching for items, but you might like it.

So, the Scrapbook Paige is not a boring word puzzle as it might seems. But an excellent hidden objects game with some unique innovations and extremely addictive gameplay. Try it, you won’t be disappointed.
