Airport Mania is the most unusual time management game I’ve ever seen! First of all, in this game you don’t have to manage a cafe or a boutique. And you don’t have any customers to satisfy. Instead, you play the air traffic manager.

Being an air traffic manager is usually means a huge responsibility and requires a strong knowledge of the air conditions, aircrafts, and many other stuff that is important to prevent the aircraft accident.

However, you don’t need to know anything of that to play this game! Your primary task is to route aircrafts between the runway, gates, parkings, a filling station and a repair base.

Each aircraft have a personal requirements which you can see at the nearby icon. You have to route it to the proper place to fullfill the requirement as soon as possible. If you’ll make an airplane waiting for too long, it become angry. And you will get a smaller score for serving it.

Each airplane have a color. When you route it to the gate, the gate is painted the color of the plane. By routing airplanes to the gate of a same color, you’ll get additional score (like you get more points for placing customers at same-colored chairs in Diner Dash).

Another way to get more scores is the landing and take-off combos. For that, you have to land or take off airplanes from the same runway within a short period on time. If you, for example, take off a plane from the runway which was used for several landings, it willl break the landing combo.

Sometimes you might want an airplane to wait until the proper place become free. The best way for that is to route the plane to a parking place. When the aircraft is on the parking place, its not as impatient as when it used to wait somewhere else. You also can buy upgrades for the airport. These includes additional gates, improved gates, more parking places, several upgrades to the airplanes, a new aircraft and - perhaps the most interesting upgrade - a painting place.

The painting place is used to re-paint the airplane into any other color. For example, if you don’t want to break a color combo on gates and you don’t have a gate painted required color, you can repant the aircraft. And so you’ll get combo scores and keep the combo on the gate.

Another feature that I like is a daytime changes, including the sunrise and the moonrise. Well, its just a nice but useless feature

Airport Mania: First Flight is probably the most unusual time management game for now. And I bet that it will be followed with the Railroad Station Mania, Port Mania, Subway Mania and so on.
