Welcome to the Big Fish Games World?

Today I’ve received a message from Big Fish Games, which says that their partners should not launch Big Fish’es “Tomorrow’s Game Today” on their websites. Unfortunately, about a third of their “tomorrow’s” games have already been launced at other portals, and even at EmotionRays.com. Besides, most of these “tomorrow’s” games were launched WEEKS ago.

I wrote to Big Fish Games, asking them if non-exclusive publishers should remove their “tomorrow’s games” when they announced and until they will be published. Because it sounds reasonable for the exclusive affiliates who got comission from every sale - they shouldn’t cheat. But as for the non-exclusive affiliate as me, who have profit only from the brand new visitors (i.e. if you already have an account at Big Fish Games and buy a game from this blog or from the Emotion Rays.com, I got nothing), they don’t have to forbid me to sell games from other partners that I want to sell. Even if these games are not in their list yet.

At least, I do not promote their “tomorrow’s” games, which have already been added to my website a while ago, today to steal their customers.

Well, lets wait and see how it ends… I don’t want to make any guesses now.

ps. Their current “tomorrow’s game” Magical Forest was published at EmotionRays.com at 26th of March, 2008. More than 2 weeks ago… Should I delete it today and post tomorrow again? :???:

    Ted:

Sorry, but I can’t understand what do you mean. When I said that you haven’t bought games? And where is your account that I have to cancel? Please explain.

And sorry if I hurt you by the article about the Big Fish Games. I don’t mean you in this article, actually. Its just about the Big Fish Games and their affiliates.

Just have your little pop up leave me alone. I try to buy a game and it pops up wanting me to join. I can’t get to the game I want to buy. Thank You, Ted

Most of the games on this blog are published by Big Fish Games, and the “Buy now” link is pointing on the BFG website. And - yes, they have a popup where they ask you to join their gameclub to buy games. However, its a Big Fish Games website, not mine. And I can’t do anything about it.

Most of these games also listed at EmotionRays.com, and you can try to search for them here. At Emotion Rays, we don’t ask you to join or to open an account. All purchases are recorded on your e-mail, which is enough to restore a serial number in case if you lost it or so.

I can just apologize about the Big Fish Games who are forcing their customers to register an account at their website and to install their game manager. I do not like the agressive promotion, and I am not allowing it at the Emotion Rays (where everything, even the newsletter, are optional).
